Really?!?!
Why do you think Prof. Sherman decided to go on yet another balloon trip, after what happened with his Krakatoan voyage? How do you think he persuaded himself to risk another explosion, or something even worse?!?!
I think that he would go on another balloon voyage because he loves balloons. Also all he wanted was to do was go away for a year and he did not accomplish this goal, so he is going to try again and again until he meets his goal.
I think Professor Sherman is going to do another balloon voyage because he seeks adventure in his life, after all, he has to put up with all of those kids’ shenanigans and pranks at the school. He wants to see what the wind has in store for him. Good fortune, a horrible (almost) death, or a mixture of both? :)
